Ananya Sampath, Texas SAYO Founder

Hey everyone! My name is Ananya Sampath and I am a senior Public Health major. I co-founded Texas SAYO because my early volunteer experiences showed me that education is a powerful tool, and I wanted to help bring educational opportunity to those who need it most in the Austin area. A fun fact about me is that I wrestle!

Jesus Jimenez, Texas SAYO Founder

My name is Jesus Jimenez, and am the President of Texas SAYO. I’m a senior Neuroscience major working on Trace Conditioning in the Mauk Lab. I love the Premier League and soccer in general!

I co-founded SAYO with the intention of addressing education inequity and working to provide motivated youth with an equal field from which they can achieve excellence.

My name is Ansh Parekh and I am the Website Chair. I am a Senior Human Biology major. I joined SAYO because it helps promote education among students who are underserved and underprivileged. A fun fact about me is I have visited over 20 countries!

Vidya Sampathkumar, Director of External Relations

My name is Vidya Sampathkumar and I'm the Director of External Relations. I’m a Sophomore Public Health major, and I’m in SAYO because it helps spread awareness and education to underserved communities. A fun fact about me is that I love running!

Ananya Nandyala, Social Media chair, sophomore, Public Health, I love to travel, and recently went to Peru this summer! I chose to be a part of SAYO because I love service and helping kids reach their goals!

Reeda Karowadia, Member Coordination Chair

Hey! My name is Reeda Karowadia and I’m the Member Coordination Chair. I’m a Sophomore Public Heath Major on the Pre-Dental Track! A fun fact about me is that I can say my alphabet backwards really fast. Tutoring with SAYO has allowed me to form valuable connections with the students I teach and has allowed me to make a direct impact on their future educational goals.

Rishav Sarkar, External Relations Chair

Hey y’all, my names Rishav Sarkar! I’m a sophomore Biology & Plan II major, and I’m an External Relations Chair in SAYO. I chose to be in SAYO because a core belief of mine is that education should be accessible to all, and working with SAYO allows me to help progress towards this ideal in the Austin area. A fun fact about me is that I’ve been to 20 countries and counting.
